Kaylan End of year review – 2019

As we edge ever closer to the end of another year, and decade, we’d like to take this opportunity to give thanks to all those involved in making 2019 an amazing year. And a year of celebrations!

Not only have we celebrated, belatedly, a milestone birthday (our 40th), we’ve also seen some of our employees do the same; Dan in Sales turned 40 and June in Quality turned 60; both on the same day in September too! We also had the pleasure of promoting Wayne, in the early part of this year, to the position of Assistant Production Manager, and we recently welcomed back Dave to the Casting Department after a 10-year hiatus.

As well as those celebrations we’ve also been celebrating what has become our best year to date! We’ve seen our highest turnover ever, even exceeding our own target, for 2019! This is a combined achievement of having the biggest introduction of new customers and also the highest retention rate of existing customers that we have seen. Along with good old-fashioned hard work of course!

It is due to the continued growth of previous years, and to assist in growth during future years, that we were able to break ground on the much-needed expansion of Jubilee Court. The work being carried out here will create a new home for our machine shop and additional room for storage of stock material (keep an eye out in our blog for an update)!

As part of our commitment to local community projects, this Christmas we would like to raise awareness, and ask for your donations, towards the first annual cross-community Christmas dinner, specifically for all people who find themselves home alone at Christmas. Bradford4Better is the fastest growing action group in Bradford and they are in urgent need of additional funding towards making this event a reality for as many people as possible – please see the link below.

From everyone at Kay-Dee Engineering Plastics, we would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
